I was rather chuffed to present my research at our Master of Science induction day. Standing before my colleagues and distinguished faculty members, I felt a proper mix of nerves and excitement as I shared my work. It was brilliant to receive thoughtful questions and constructive feedback from the professors, and I must say, the whole experience proved quite valuable for honing my presentation skills. What I found particularly fascinating was the chance to chat with other postgrads who shared similar research interests – we ended up having some smashing discussions over tea during the breaks. The day helped me gain a fresh perspective on my research direction, and I dare say, I walked away feeling more confident about my academic journey. It was quite remarkable to see how my work fits into the broader scope of research happening at our university.
